Lions Clubd of Kathmandu Lord Buddha successfully conducted its Induction & Joint Installation Ceremony on 16 August 2026 at Diyalo Foodland, Basundhara, Kathmandu. The ceremony was jointly organized by LCK Lord Buddha and LCK Grihalaxmi, with newly chartered LCK Buddha Maatribhumi and LCK Laughing Buddha participating in the joint ceremony under Zone 25.
The program was graced by International Director Lion Rajan Lamsal, ID Spouse/PDG Lion Indu Lamsal, District Governor Lion Surya KC, First Lady Sangeeta KC, senior Lions leaders, and Hon. Badan Kumar Bhandari, Member of the House of Representatives and Past President of LCK Lord Buddha.
The first half of the program was presided over by Lion Suna Badal, Immediate Past President of LCK Grihalaxmi, while the second half was presided over by Lion Suresh Bhandari, newly elected President of LCK Lord Buddha. The first half was hosted by Lion Kshitij Paudel, Secretary of LCK Lord Buddha for Lion Year 2025/26, and the second half was hosted by Lion Umesh Dhital, Secretary of LCK Lord Buddha for Lion Year 2026/27.
A key part of the program was the review and presentation of the clubs’ activities and future plans. The Immediate Past Presidents of LCK Lord Buddha and LCK Grihalaxmi presented the major activities and achievements carried out during Lion Year 2025/26. The newly elected Presidents of all four clubs then presented their respective activity plans and proposed programs for Lion Year 2026/27.
The ceremony also marked the installation of new leadership and induction of new members. The newly chartered LCK Buddha Maatribhumi and LCK Laughing Buddha were formally welcomed into the Lions family.
Another major highlight was the formal launch of the LCK Lord Buddha official website and digital application. The application will help maintain systematic records of club financial transactions and members’ contributions in cash, kind, and time, promoting greater transparency, accountability, and digital management.
Lion Bishnu Bhandari, Founder President of LCK Lord Buddha and 2nd Vice District Governor, District 325I Nepal, and Lion Ram Shrestha, Past President and Program Coordinator, played key roles in coordinating and leading the event.
The ceremony reflected the spirit of leadership, fellowship, collaboration, and innovation, while setting a strong foundation for an active and impactful Lion Year 2026/27.
