Lions Club of Kathmandu Lord Buddha successfully organized a Hunger Relief program at Shri Dhongma Jagat Old Age Home, Bode, Bhaktapur on the occasion of the birthday of Suprim Ansari, son of Club Vice President Lion Sabir Ansari and Mrs. Sharmila Thapa.
As part of the program, a meal was provided to the elderly residents of the old age home. The home currently accommodates a total of 37 senior citizens. The initiative reflected the Club’s commitment to humanitarian service, compassion, dignity and care for senior citizens.
The program was attended by Lion Bishnu Bhandari, Second Vice District Governor of District 325I, Nepal, cum Founder President of Lions Club of Kathmandu Lord Buddha; Lion Ram Bahadur Shrestha, Past President cum District Chief Coordinator; Lion Prakash Raj Kandel, Immediate Past President; Past Presidents Lion Laxmi Kattel and Lion Rup Bahadur Rawal; Vice Presidents Lion Kshitiz Poudel and Lion K.B. Poudel; and Lion Jit Bahadur Bogati, President of Lions Club of Kathmandu Little Buddha.
The Club expressed sincere appreciation to all the distinguished guests and members for their valuable presence and support in making the programme meaningful and successful.
Special thanks were extended to Lion Umesh Dhital, Club Secretary, for his leadership and coordination. The Club also expressed its gratitude to Lion Sabir Ansari for sponsoring the program and to the family of Shri Dhongma Jagat Old Age Home for their cooperation, hospitality and support.
